FAQs
What’s with the name Patchwork Pigeon?
Have you ever seen a pigeon’s nest? They are notoriously bad a making them. But one aspect that I find fascinating is how resourceful they are. They take whatever they can find and use it to build a nest. I saw a pigeon’s nest made out of old zip ties on the internet. I love the idea of only using existing materials to build a fashion brand. That’s why we only use yarns found at thrift stores and places like Art Scraps. We’re taking unwanted objects and turning making something new with them.
Can my Patchwork Pigeon jacket be washed?
The best way to extend the life of the jacket—and to keep the tufted artwork looking fresh—is to spot clean by hand. If it needs a more in-depth cleaning, machine washing on cold with a gentle detergent is ok. Always air dry.
Why aren’t the jacket’s labeled as mens and womens?
Any gender can wear a jacket! Just check the measurements to confirm it will fit you.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes! Send me a note on the contact page.
All aspects of the design process have sustainability at the forefront.
